Transfer Students
Required studies and professional courses in the undergraduate program can be completed by transfer students in two years. Students thinking of transferring from a community college or other university must carefully plan their programs to ensure that all prerequisites are met. Please refer to page 6 for general undergraduate information.

Admission to upper division standing is limited. Acceptance is determined by the quality and scope of advance preparation. Students will be expected to have completed the University requirements, some major requirements (for more information, see page 6) and the lower division environmental design courses or equivalents. Most transfer students have sharply reduced opportunities for electives or a minor in another department.

Landscape Architecture Minors
The department of landscape architecture and environmental planning offers two minors: one in landscape architecture (for non-CED majors) and one in landscape design (for architecture majors). The purpose of the minor for non-CED students is to provide a comprehensive overview for those interested in the field of landscape architecture, whereas the purpose of the minor for architecture students is to integrate landscape architecture into the architecture curriculum through design studios, topography and plant material course requirements. Consult the department office for further information and specific courses needed to complete the minor.
