An advanced studio involving collaborative work on problems
that are large in scope yet require attention to spatial
organization and design details. The course is part of the
Master of Urban Design Program, in which exceptional planners,
architects, and landscape architects partake in an intense,
focused learning experience. Complex urban design problems
will be explored. Emphasis will be placed on a broad, integrated
approach that will take advantage of the range of professional
backgrounds that the student and faculty participants bring.
The work examines both public and private development opportunities
and will often focus on emerging urban design issues. Students
must be in the Master of Urban Design (M.U.D.) Program.
