Thesis and Professional Project Seminar

The primary purpose of the thesis seminar is to provide
students with a framework within with to develop a thesis
or professional project topic. Course walks students through
the process of selecting a topic, preparing a research proposal,
developing design or research methods, and searching source
materials.
The seminar is offered for graduate
students prior to their final year, in order that some work
can be done during the summer months.
Prerequisites:
Graduate standing, in next to last year.
Objectives:
· Assist in preparing a proposal to guide work and
to use for funding or other purposes.
· Introduce research methods and professional processes.
· Introduce university resources.
· Assist in organizing three semesters of work to
develop the habit of iterative work.
· Demonstrate how to take an idea to final product
whether it is academic or professional.
